My name is Kaela Hornstra and I am twenty one years young. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Manhattan Beach, California. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand and against the pier, the ocean breeze, and the smell of the salty water will always be home. What better way is there to spend weekends, summers and any free time than in the ocean with sand in your hair while getting a great tan. A Californian I was born and raised and a Californian I will always be.
Although living in California is a dream for many people, my dream was to get out of my comfort zone and see new and different places. I started this long journey when I chose to attend college in a different state. I currently attend Washington State University in Pullman, Washington where I am majoring in Interior Design. Being an Interior Designer has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Another dream I have had for a while is to travel and see the world. I have been traveling throughout the United States with my family however I am ready to venture out to different countries.
I have had the opportunity to backpack solo around Europe for a couple months in the summer of 2016. I was able to visit many different countries such as Germany, The Netherlands, England, Ireland, Scotland, and many more. This Fall semester I have another opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Throughout my time in Florence, I will be taking weekend trips traveling to other places.
